DALTON —
Two people were shot late Thursday afternoon near Resaca and the suspect was still on the loose as of 8:30, Gordon County 911 officials said.
One victim was shot in the neck and another was shot in the leg, Gordon authorities said. Identities of the victims and extent of the injures were not available Thursday night.
Authorities are looking a white male suspect who also is wanted for a possible kidnapping related to the shootings, Gordon officials said.
The 911 Center said a call about the shooting came in around 4:50 p.m. Authorities refused to reveal any other information, such as where the incidents occurred. The Calhoun Times reported that law enforcement officers were searching for the suspect in the Hill City area.
Whitfield County law enforcement was notified to be on the lookout for the suspect.
