Man killed in I-75 wreck

A Canton man was killed when his truck veered across three lanes of I-75 North this morning, left the road and struck several trees, the Whitfield County coroner said.

Bobbie Dixon said Rodrigo Beristain Cruz, 36, was dead at the scene. The 911 call came in at 11:09 a.m. The wreck occurred near mile marker 325 just below the Carbondale exit, Dixon said.

The Georgia State Patrol worked the wreck. Dixon said investigators weren't sure why the truck left the road.
