DALTON —
The 14th Ecumenical Earth Day in Dalton will be on April 25 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 623 S. Thornton Ave. in Dalton. The event will run from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. and feature live music, recycled crafts, petting zoo, a free hot dog lunch and exhibits from local agencies and groups promoting recycling, conservation, and more.
The music lineup this year includes Gordon and Cathy DeLashmitt, Darlene Arnold, David Crawford, Tom Brown and Emerson Sneary.
There will be door prizes and the annual flower and garden plant giveaway. This year's Community Caretaker Award recipient will be announced during the event.
Ecumenical Earth Day is a free afternoon of fun, animals, exhibits and music to remind us of our role as stewards of the earth. There is no charge for attending the event.
