Sharing is Caring Community Christmas is a community-based project designed to provide Christmas for children living in Whitfield County and Dalton who are living in poverty or whose family’s circumstances might prevent them from receiving Christmas gifts.
Last year, 2,500 children were helped through this program.
To shop in the community Christmas Store, families need to attend three community classes to receive certificates to bring to the Salvation Army the week of Oct. 29-Nov. 2. They will then be given a time to come shop at the Christmas Store and pick out three gifts per child to help with the family’s Christmas celebration.
If you would like to contribute financially to the cause, mail your donation to “Sharing is Caring Christmas Fund,” attention: Jackie Taylor, 405 School St., Dalton, GA 30720.
Checks should be made out to the United Way for Sharing is Caring Christmas Fund.
