• Wayne David Kidwell, 37, 120 McFalls St., Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Dalton Police Department with first degree theft by shoplifting, disorderly conduct, probation violation, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, criminal trespass and obstruction of an officer.
• James Daniel McClure, 38, 512 Weaver Creek Road, Blue Ridge, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with burglary and theft by taking (motor vehicle).
• Michael Shane Smith, 30, 901 S. Green St., Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Dalton Police Department with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of tools for the commission of a crime (two counts), possession of meth and possession of marijuana.
• Larry Kevin Pyles, 24, 1420 Club Circle, Gallatin, Tenn., was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with theft by deception.
• Joshua Lee Parrish, 23, 345 Cedar Ridge Road, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI and failure to maintain lane.
