Area Arrests

• Joshua Stephen McMahan, 29, 178 Maple Way, Ringgold, was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI (drugs), drugs in wrong container and possession of clonazepam.

• Rex Walter Mull, 42, 399 Florence Ave., Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with improper tag display and DUI.

• Freddie Morales Simon, 26, 206 Edgewood Ave., Apt. B, Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with first degree cruelty to children, third degree cruelty to children, battery (family violence) and giving false information.

• Martin Bautista Calderon, 37, 510 Underwood St., No. 14, Dalton, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI and failure to yield.
