Area arrests for March 12
DALTON — • Billy Wayne Crowley, 44, 2075 Upper Ridge Road, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with deposit account fraud and possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.
• Nathaniel Michael Johnson, 19, 117 Jon Court, Chatsworth, was charged Wednesday by the Dalton Police Department with felony theft by shoplifting.
• Antonio Sanchez, 31, 0 City View, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with theft by taking larceny (theft of an automobile), theft by bringing stolen property into the state and driving without a valid license.
• Timothy Miles Cook II, 22, 1613 Flat Branch Road, Tunnel Hill, was charged Thursday by the Tunnel Hill Police Department with aggravated assault, probation violation, willful obstruction of an officer by threat/violence, possession of cocaine, and giving false name, address or date of birth to an officer.
• Lola Marie Sizemore, 57, 175 Callie Jones Road, Chatsworth, was charged Thursday by the Georgia State Patrol with expired vehicle tag or decal, no proof of insurance, DUI and following too closely.
• James Lamar Williams, 55, 1080 Ben Hill Road, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with failure to yield while turning left, driving without a valid license and DUI

When Karen Smith was born her parents brought her home to 410 Chattanooga Ave., just down the street from Crown Garden and Archives, the primary repository of Dalton’s history where much-needed restorative efforts are under way. Her husband, Michael, grew up a little further south, near the intersection with Selvidge Street.
