Christmas morning, 2009, wake up, Merry Christmas. Oh, no! There is no electricity all day long, no power. It’s nothing new. I got up this morning, Feb. 19, 2010, to go to work and yup, once again, no power.
I have lived in Tunnel Hill since 1986. I love it, it is a wonderful place to live, but there is a big problem with the electricity. Just ask my neighbors.
I have Georgia Power and the electricity goes out all the time. On many occasions I will come home from work only to find all the clocks blinking. Not only does it go out when we are not home, it goes out in the mornings, making it difficult to get ready for work, and my kids for school. Sometimes, it goes out in the middle of the night. Sometimes it goes out for seconds, sometimes minutes, and unfortunately, sometimes for hours.
Now, I am blonde (ha ha) and don’t know a hill of beans about electricity, but I do pay my bill, and feel I have a right to know, what’s up? Is Tunnel Hill in need of an upgrade? Are there so many homes that it puts a strain on the “power grid”? Am I getting a refund since I had no power?
I mean, enough is enough.
