The Chattanooga Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is excited to announce “We are in this Together,” a breast cancer education and health symposium on Saturday, Sept.12. The event will take place at Brainerd Crossroads (BX) between the hours of 9 AM to 2PM.
“We are in this Together” is open to the public and will feature a series of medical and inspirational speakers and workshops designed for breast cancer survivors and their supporters. Topics will range from nutrition and exercise to sexuality after breast cancer. Allen Klein, the keynote speaker, will present “Finding your Funny Bone: Humor in Not So Funny Times.” The cost to attend is just $10 and includes a box lunch. Reservations must be made in advance by emailing contact information to cynthiakennemore@yahoo.com.
The symposium will also feature a limited number of vendor booths for businesses and agencies that provide services and products to this much targeted audience.
