Gordon Hospital changes time for Farmers’ Market

CALHOUN — Due to the extreme summer heat, Gordon Hospital is going to change the hours of its Farmers’ Market from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. to 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. “It has just been so hot for both our farmers and for our patrons, that we are going to try to begin an hour later,” says Judy Fehlenberg, Gordon Hospital dietitian and organizer of the Farmers’ Market. “Hopefully, this will make for a more pleasant shopping experience.”

The Market, is held each Thursday, and is in its third week. All produce is locally grown and a wide variety of fruits and vegetables are available. The market is held on the Gordon Hospital campus and the entire community is invited to attend.
