Registration time for state mid-am tourney

MARIETTA — Entries are now being accepted for the 31st annual Georgia Mid-Amateur Championship, which takes place May 18-20 at Berkeley Hills Country Club in Duluth.

This Georgia State Golf Association event is open to male amateur golfers who are GSGA members and age 25 or older as of May 18.

The field will consist of 144 players. Non-exempt players must enter through one of six statewide 18-hole qualifiers. The Championship format is 54 holes of stroke play, with the field cut to the low 70 and ties after 36 holes.

The criteria for exempt players and a list of qualifying sites are both available in the online registration system at gsga.org. The deadline for entry is March 7.

Registration is also open through Feb. 29 for the GSGA’s Georgia Four-Ball Tournament.
