Dalton native Blake Adams, seeking his first career win on the Nationwide Tour, lost by one stroke to Fran Quinn in the Boise Open at Hillcrest Country Club in Boise, Idaho.
Adams, who led after every round heading into Sunday’s final 18 holes, shot a 13-under par 271 (63-65-71-72), while Quinn finished with a 270 (68-65-68-69).
With the runner-up finish, Adams moved into second place on the tour’s money list at $369,499. Nationwide Tour members that finish the year inside the top 25 on the money list are automatically eligible for the 2010 PGA tour.
