Senior’s Jack Dalrymple and Dave Nichols combined to shoot a 6-under 66, and Mike Nance and David Noll, Jr. shot a 9-under 63 to lead the Mid-Amateurs in the 2011 Lowell Fritz Senior/Mid-Am Challenge at Dalton Country Club.
Nance and Noll led by one shot over Richard Keene and Donnie Phillips, while Nichols and Dalrymple had a one-stroke lead over the teams of George Alexander-Dick Donegan and Jerry Don Thomas-George Lloyd as both teams sat at 5-under aftet the first round.
In the Mid-Am first flight, Chad Branton and Steve Steward led at 3-under, while Dwight Hefner and Duane McMullen had a four-shot lead after a first-round 69 in the Senior first flight.
The tournament concludes today.
