The PGA Championship and its historic Wanamaker Trophy will return to the Atlanta Athletic Club once again for the 93rd PGA Championship on Aug. 8-14, 2011.
Tickets are now on sale for the season’s final major, which perennially features the deepest international field of any major championship.
“After hosting a highly successful 2001 PGA Championship at the Atlanta Athletic Club, we knew the region would be very excited for the Championship’s return,” said Ryan Cannon, 93rd PGA Championship tournament director. “The Atlanta Athletic Club is a special place, and when it hosts a major championship, it is the must-see and be-seen event of the year.”
Consistent with The PGA of America’s mission of growing the game of golf, there are several ticket packages designed to give more people an opportunity to participate in the 93rd PGA Championship. Admission ticket prices range from $25 for a Monday practice round ticket to $550 for a week-long Wanamaker Club ticket. In addition there are several parking upgrades available that range from $20 a day to $250 for the week. The PGA will continue its tradition of having free parking and shuttle options as well.
The PGA Championship also will continue its popular junior ticket policy for 2011. Juniors ages 17 and younger will be allowed access into the championship grounds with an accompanying ticketed adult. Each ticketed adult will be allowed up to four junior admissions to the PGA Championship at no additional charge. Junior tickets must be picked up on site at the will call office at the main entrance on the day of admission.
All ticket packages, other than junior tickets, may be reserved and purchased by visiting www.pga.com or by calling the PGA Ticketing Center at 1-800-PGA-GOLF (742-4653). Tickets for the 93rd PGA Championship will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis to a limited number of spectators. Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets early as demand for tickets is expected to be high.
