Grace Presbyterian hosting annual conference this weekend

Grace Presbyterian Church hosts its annual mission conference Saturday and Sunday.

The conference begins Saturday at 5:30 p.m. with dinner followed by the first session at 7. The meal is free but the church is accepting donations of canned food or cash, which will be shared with Teen Challenge of the Mid-South in Chattanooga.

The Saturday evening speaker is Roger Helle, executive director of the Teen Challenge of the Mid-South. Helle is a Marine who served three tours in Vietnam before being called to a ministry of rehabilitation of those lives being destroyed by addictions. The evening will be filled with testimonies, reports, teaching and songs provided by the Teen Challenge Choir and the Grace Children’s Choir, “Grace Out Loud.”

The conference continues Sunday morning with worship at 9:30. The speaker for worship is Wes Parsons, a missionary along with his wife and three children in Colombia. Parsons is a graduate of Covenant Seminary in St. Louis and now he and his family are in their second year supporting the churches in Bogota through music schools, youth ministries and mercy to the surrounding areas. Parsons is the son of Grace Presbyterian Senior Pastor Scott Parsons.
