22 ladies in 22nd annual ball
The Farm in Rocky Face provided a festive setting for the 22nd annual Dalton Cotillion Ball on July 18. Twenty-two young ladies were presented to their family, friends, and the board of directors in a formal ceremony. Each debutante was attired in a white formal evening gown and given a bouquet of red roses by the board of directors. The debutantes were formally introduced and commended for their studies, activities and community service work at Friendship House this past year.
After all the young ladies were presented, they danced a grand waltz with their presenters and escorts. Following the waltz, the debutantes joined their families and friends for a formal seated dinner. Table arrangements of garden statuaries embracing white Akito roses, larkspur, waxflower, Fiji mums and mixed greenery adorned the debutantes’ tables. The tables featured a silver framed portrait of each debutante in her presentation gown. The framed portraits were given to the debutantes as a remembrance of the evening. The dinner was followed by an evening of dancing to the music of The MaleMen. Ms. Lou Ann Pope provided music for the presentation; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Forrest served as photographers, and Mrs. John Patrick served as videographer.

Rachel Elizabeth Boring, daughter of Mr. James Marcus Boring and Ms. Patricia Henley Boring. She was presented by her father. Miss Boring will be attending The University of Alabama this fall where she will be majoring in dance education. This summer she teaches private dance lessons as a Teacher’s Assistant at Dance Theatre of Dalton and attending dance workshops. Her escort for the evening was Matthew Gregory Townsend. He is the son of Mr. Gregory Scott Townsend and Ms. Joni Orr Manley. Mr. Townsend is attending Mercer University where he is majoring in business marketing.
Lindsey Tibbs Bramlett was presented by her father. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randall Eugene Bramlett and the sister of Zachary Lance Bramlett. Miss Bramlett is majoring in nursing at Berry College where she participates in intramural volleyball, umpiring, and softball. She is a member of the Berry Student Nurses Club and Emerging Leaders.
