n Community Fellowship Church of Ministries and Lady Dana Thomas will host their annual Daughters of Deborah women’s conference June 27 at 8 a.m.

Overseer Audra Watkisn of Emmanuel Church International in Decatur, Ala. and Pastor Faith Dennis of New and Living Way Bible Church in Rome will be the guest speakers. There is no registration fee.

n Tilton Baptist Church will celebrate homecoming June 28 at 10:30 a.m. with special music by Redeemed.

Lunch will be served after the service. There will be no evening service.

n The Dumplin Valley Trio will be in concert Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at Lakeside Baptist Church.

n Piney Grove Baptist Church will celebrate Pastor’s Appreciation Day Sunday at 3 p.m. The Rev. J.W. Stictland of First Corinthians Missionary Baptist Church in Chattanooga will be the afternoon speaker and Deacon Robert Brown of Dalton will be the morning speaker.

n Bethel A.M.E. Church will celebrate homecoming June 28 at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Kenneth Scaife of New Hope Baptist Church in Dalton as guest speaker.

Revival will be held June 29 to July 1 at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Reginald McDaniels of Friendship Baptist Church in Calhoun as guest evangelist. The theme is “A Holy Ghost Takeover.”

n The Carpet Capital Soccer Club is joining with First Baptist Church to form Carpet Capital/First Kids Soccer.

Registration has been extended. Cost is $55 for ages 6 and under and $75 for other groups up to U-19. All ages must bring copy of birth certificate. Ages 12 and up need to bring a wallet-size photo.

Practice starts Aug. 24 and games begin Sept. 12.
