The Greesons to perform
Family harmony of the heart will ring out in Chickamauga as the The Greesons and The Testimony Quartet appear April 18.
The Greesons will bring their spirit-filled ministry to at Oakwood Baptist Church, 115 Oakwood Dr, Saturday, April 18, at 6 p.m. For more information, (706) 539-2231.
For decades families have been the cornerstone of gospel music, groups such as the Speers, the Chuck Wagon Gang, the McKameys, the Perrys, the Singing Cookes set a standard for all those that have come since.
The Greesons of Chickamauga, Ga. are one of the latest placing their mark on gospel music history. The former Mixed Group of the Year nominee continue in that long legacy of family tradition as members of the second and third generation share their love of Christ through their music in venues from coast to coast. Now in their 20th year of traveling, the group includes Tony Dykes (lead), Lisa Dykes (alto), Darrell Demastus (bass), Karen Demastus (soprano) and Joey Demastus (lead/baritone), and playing piano Casey Brandon. The Greesons latest CD is “Call Home.”

The Testimony Quartet calls Catoosa County home, it includes Dove Award nominee Howard Stewart who sings baritone, US 101 radio personality Ken Hicks who sings bass, tenor singer and group manager Tim Owens, and lead singer Heath Allen.
