Braves have big plans for Father's Day

DALLAS — Fans can literally race to Turner Field on Father’s Day weekend (June 18-19) with the Atlanta Track Club’s Father’s Day 4-Miler, which finishes on the warning track near the Braves dugout.

Race entry includes a ticket to Saturday’s 4 p.m. game vs. the Texas Rangers and a Father’s Day 4-Miler T-shirt. Race entrants, as well as their family and friends, can also take part in a parade around the field before the game.

Online registration is open until 11:59 p.m. on June 15 or until the race reaches its capacity of 2,000 participants. Register at braves.com/4miler today to secure your spot. Game tickets for family and friends of runners are available for $12 (upper box) or $22 (lower outfield).

Father’s Day Weekend at Turner Field will continue on Sunday with a free postgame Montgomery Gentry charity concert in conjunction with Major League Baseball Prostate Cancer Awareness Day, an annual leaguewide initiative to promote prostate cancer advocacy, awareness and research.

Prostate cancer survivors will receive a free game ticket, T-shirt and the opportunity to participate in a special ceremony before the game.  Family and friends of survivors can purchase tickets for $14. Register for Prostate Cancer Awareness Day today at braves.com/pcawareness. To show their support for Prostate Cancer Awareness, players, coaches, managers, trainers, groundskeepers, umpires and equipment managers will wear blue wristbands and blue ribbons on their jerseys on Father’s Day.
