• Bradley Wellness Center will offer several levels of group swimming lessons this spring and summer. Children ages 4 and older may enroll in Tadpole, Guppy or Dolphin classes depending on their skill level — the center’s front desk can assist in choosing the right class for your child — with instruction provided by Kayla Harkins, Marta Hannah, Dawn Cook and Omar Albaba. • Coahulla Creek High School’s baseball fundamentals camp for players age 6 to upcoming eighth-graders is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon on June 3-5. Campers should report at 8:45 a.m. and bring a bat and glove and wear baseball pants and cleats. The cost is $40, with a $10 discount for additional campers from the same household, and checks should be made payable to the CCHS Diamond Club. • Northwest Whitfield High School’s fast-pitch softball camp for girls entering third through eighth grade is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on June 3-6. Instruction on the fundamentals of throwing, fielding, hitting and baserunning will be provided by the Lady Bruins coaching staff and members of the 2012 Class 4A state championship team to all participants; pitching and catching instruction will be available if desired. Sliding practice will be the last session on the final day of camp and will be held on a Slip ’n Slide. • SCORE International’s youth basketball camps featuring former University of Tennessee-Chattanooga men’s basketball player Ricky Taylor, the sixth all-time leading scorer in Mocs history, are scheduled for June 7-9 at ChristChurch Presbyterian in Dalton (registration deadline is May 24), June 21-23 at Notre Dame High School in Chattanooga (registration deadline is June 7) and June 28-30 at Ocoee Middle School in Cleveland, Tenn., (registration deadline is June 14). Golf tournament
• The Boys & Girls Clubs will host the inaugural Murray County Golf Classic on June 8 at Spring Lakes Golf Club in Chatsworth. The entry fee for a four-person team is $225 or $350 with a hole sponsorship package, with proceeds benefiting the clubs’ after-school and summer programs, which serve 600 youth in Murray County.
