Turner Field hosts Ultimate Kids Day

Before the school year starts, young Atlanta Braves fans can celebrate the last few hours of summer with Ultimate Kids Day at Turner Field on Aug. 8.

In addition to $5 tickets for fans 14 and younger, all pitching and hitting games in Scout’s Alley and entry into the Braves Museum will be free. Kids will also have the opportunity to participate in a pre-game parade around the field and run the bases after the game. Upper Box seats, normally priced at $12, are available now for $5 for all children 14 and under at braves.com/summer or the Turner Field Ticket Office.

The Braves will also celebrate Homer’s birthday on Ultimate Kids Day with some of his favorite mascot friends including Harry the Hawk, Star from the Atlanta Dream, Chopper from the Gwinnett Braves, Pounce from Georgia State University, Aaron’s Lucky Dog, the Chick-fil-A Cows, Scooter the penguin from the Georgia Aquarium, Gutsy the Flying Fox, and The Home Depot Tools: Hank (the hammer), B-Rush (the brush), Cutter (the saw) and Two Bit (the drill).

Homer’s birthday party will feature a fantastic cake creation from Highland Bakery, consisting of a giant sugar “Homer” standing 3-D in the middle of a vanilla cake baseball field with a French buttercream filling.

Ultimate Kids Day Activities:

• Participate in a pre-game parade around the field.

• Visit the Braves Museum for free.

• Play the interactive games in Scouts Alley for free.

• Celebrate Homer’s birthday with all his mascot friends and be sure to have a slice of Homer’s special birthday cake from Highland Bakery.

• Braves alumni Charlie O’Brien, Gaylord Perry and Sid Bream will sign autographs at 11:30 in Fan Plaza.

• Kids Run the Bases after the game.

Additionally, parents who purchase $5 kids tickets online at Braves.com/Summer will have their children entered to win an unforgettable experience including announcing the Braves starting line-up as the guest P.A. announcer.
