'Snow Queen' arrives

Emily O’Brien, playing the Enchantress, tosses a handful of flower petals into the air as she leads Gerda, played by Rosalyn Zock, off stage during the Friday production of “The Snow Queen” at Dalton High School. “Snow Queen” performances continue today at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. All performances are at the Dalton High Theatre.   • “Do You Remember?” cast announced

    Members of Dalton Dance Company will perform in Dalton Arts Project’s “Do You Remember?” spring concert — a look back at the music they grew up with as well as the music enjoyed by previous generations of teenagers (now parents and grandparents).

  • Senior Student Art Expo winners named

    The Creative Arts Guild’s 2010 Student Art Expo concludes with the annual senior show now on display in the Guild’s main gallery. The 47th annual student show includes work created by the top senior artists in Dalton Public Schools, Murray County and Whitfield County schools and allows student artists to compete for the Bernice Spigel Prize in the Visual Arts.

  • Art programs growing at the Guild

    The Creative Arts Guild has added new art programming to its schedule of ongoing and session classes. These classes include multi-media, painting, drawing, cartooning and pottery for children, teens and adults. Additionally, the Guild will be offering art for special needs children.
