CARTERSVILLE – Come to Cartersville in November to see Georgia’s representatives crowned for the 2010 Miss USA® and Miss Teen USA®. The Miss Georgia USA® and Miss Georgia Teen USA® pageants will be hosted at the Woodland Performing Arts Center November 12-14, 2009 in Cartersville.
Contestants arrive on Thursday for production rehearsals, followed by the Preliminary Show on Friday at 7 p.m. The Miss Georgia Teen USA® Final Show will be Saturday at 3:30 p.m., followed by the Miss Georgia USA® Final Show at 8 p.m. Preliminary Show seats are $30.00, and Final Show tickets are $35.00; Visa and MasterCard accepted. Tickets for children ages 13 & under are discounted one-half price: Preliminary Show $15 each, and Final Shows $17.50 each. A $2 service charge will also be applied to the price of each ticket. About the Miss Georgia USA® and Miss Georgia Teen USA® Pageants
The Miss Georgia USA® pageant and the Miss Georgia Teen USA® pageant, licensed by Greenwood Productions, Inc., are the state preliminaries for the Miss USA® pageant and the Miss Teen USA® pageant. The winner of Miss Georgia USA® will advance to the Miss USA® pageant and have an opportunity to compete in the Miss Universe® pageant. Kimberly Gittings, the reigning Miss Georgia USA®, honored Georgia as a Top 15 finalist in the 2009 Miss USA® pageant, while Brooke Fletcher, Miss Georgia Teen USA®, was named first runner-up 2009 Miss Teen USA®. In addition, Greenwood Productions also produces the Tennessee preliminaries and coached the Miss Tennessee Teen USA® to the Miss Teen USA® crown in 2009.
