The winners of the 2007-2008 Dalton Little Theatre Billie Awards are:
• Best Director: Karen Keith for "The God Committee." This is the second consecutive year that Karen has been chosen as Best Director.
• Volunteer of the Year: Alex LaVelle for "Godspell"
• Best Set Design: Jeff Adair for "Godspell"
• Best Child Actress (under 16): Grace Kling for "Godspell"
• Best Child Actor (under 16): Josh Parrott for "Godspell"
• Best Supporting Actress: Grace Kling for "Out of the Kitchen, Mrs. Claus"
• Best Supporting Actor: Bo Whitfield for "Fat Shirley's: A Trailer Park Opera"
• Best Actress: Susan Ridley for "The God Committee"
• Best Actor: (three-way tie): Mike Anthony for "The God Committee," Todd Parrott for "Godspell" and Alan Pritchett for "Fat Shirley's: A Trailer Park Opera"
• Best Show: "Godspell"
The John Forest Ovbey Memorial Theatre Scholarship went to Tyler Kelso of Murray County High School (attending Dalton State College in the fall).
The Keith McDearis Memorial Musical Theatre Scholarship went to Todd Parrott of Dalton High (Elon University in the fall) and Jennifer Wilson, also of MCHS (North Georgia College and State University in the fall).
The President's Award presented by Margaret Zeisig and Myra Brock (2007-2008 season co-presidents, board of firectors) went to Bob Parker.
Also at the annual meeting new board members and officers were presented. The 2008-2009 officers are president, Margaret Zeisig; vice president, Susan Ridley; secretary, Jean Jagoditsch; treasurer, Joey Parrott.
