DALTON —
The Creative Arts Guild’s Gallery 111 features the works of Cross Plain students during May.
The Cross Plains students of Bradley Wilson and Guild visual art and gallery director and Dalton High School art instructor Victoria Minor will be the focus of the Gallery 111 exhibit.
The partnership between the Guild’s visual arts department and Cross Plains continues through contributions from The Community Foundation of Northwest Georgia, the Guild and Dalton Public Schools. The Guild will host an opening reception on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
Cross Plains provides services to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families throughout Northwest Georgia. Central to their services is the belief that all people should be afforded an opportunity to pursue quality of life and be a participating member of their community.
As an organization Cross Plains values the importance of partnering with other community organizations that help establish Cross Plains’ role in community leadership and to communicate a commitment to enhancing quality of life for all people.
“Each year we are thrilled to show the progress of these talented individuals,” Wilson said. “It is evident that they grow stronger in their artistic skills and we are so pleased to be a part of their experience.”
The Cross Plains students’ work will be on exhibit in Gallery 111 through May 28 with an opening reception scheduled for Thursday at 5:30 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public. For additional information call the Guild at 706-278-0168 or visit www.creativeartsguild.org.
