The Creative Arts Guild’s Beat the Winter Blue series continues on Saturday, Feb. 13, featuring the music (and perhaps a laugh or two) by The Band With No Name.
Spend Valentine’s Day at the Guild with your sweetheart and enjoy an Italian-themed dinner catered by The Dalton Depot’s “Flammini’s Menu” while listening to love songs.
Guests will enjoy the soulful sounds of David Arnold and Lori McDaniel on vocals, Tim Crump on saxophone, John Minor on guitar, Beth Blackburn on flute, David Rogers on guitar, Marty Michaels on piano and vibes and Tom Minor on bass.
“In the words of the immortal John Belushi, ‘We are getting the band back together!’ band member Tom Minor said.
“Yes, The Band With No Name will once again hit the stage at the Creative Arts Guild Stage in Dalton for one, and only one, appearance. The Band With No Name has enjoyed much success in its career, although that success simply cannot be measured in monetary terms,” Minor said.
Guests may also want to peruse the Guild’s galleries where the works of Aharon Junkins Hill, Corey Barksdale and Denise Stewart-Sanabria will be on display. A selection of jewelry by Crystal Coker will be on display and for sale in the lobby showcases if guest need a last-minute Valentine’s gift.
The Beat the Winter Blues Series concludes with A Celtic Celebration featuring Ceilidh and The Brookwoods on Friday, March 19, with traditional Irish fare prepared by The Filling Station.
Beat the Winter Blues tickets are $40 per person and include dinner, dessert, beverages, tip and entertainment. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with dinner served at 6:30. Contact the Guild at 706-278-0168 to make a reservation or for additional information.
