Art student’s work on exhibition

Gary Sanchez Soto will represent Murray County High School in “An Artistic Discovery: The Congressional Art Competition” at the Derrell C. Roberts Library on the campus of Dalton State College.

The Derrell C. Roberts Library and the Creative Arts Guild of Dalton will host the competition for the Ninth Congressional District in conjunction with Congressman Tom Graves. The exhibit is an opportunity to recognize and encourage the artistic talent in our area.

Works will be on exhibit in the Roberts library from Feb. 13 to March 14. A panel of judges from the Creative Arts Guild and DSC faculty will select three award-winning artworks. The first-place winner will have the honor of exhibiting in the United States Capitol.
