Popular instructor and scrapbook expert Lisa Bauer will host the final all-day scrapbooking event Saturday at Dalton State’s Center for Continuing Education. Crop ‘Til You Drop will take place Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the James E. Brown Center.
“Scrapbooking continues to grow in popularity as a hobby and the classes that have been offered through Continuing Education have been very well-received,” said Kelly Snyder, personal enrichment program coordinator. “Lisa has been a wonderful instructor for people at all levels of scrapbooking ability, and she is full of energy, enthusiasm and loads of spectacular ideas. Scrapbooking is an activity that appeals to people from all generations and backgrounds, and it is awesome when they come together to share a hobby they love.”
Bauer will facilitate the day offering scrapbooking tips and techniques and advice along the way. Students are invited to bring all of their scrapbooking materials and snacks and goodies to share with fellow crafters.
“Students can bring in a sack lunch or break and leave for lunch and dinner, if they choose,” Snyder said. “These cropping events are meant to be laid-back, productive and fun. This particular event is for experienced scrappers, not those who are truly beginners. Remember, it’s a crop, not a formal class.”
Pre-registration is required and may be completed by calling (706) 272-4454 or logging on to www.daltonstate.edu/cce. Cost for the event is $15.
