Maestra Chen debuts with the CSO for this fascinating program. One of the most brilliant orchestrations in the repertoire, Scheherazade is Rimsky-Korsakov's musical telling of the "1001 Arabian Nights." Orchestra solos abound in this magical journey. The Opera Show

Presented by the CSO. THE OPERA SHOW premiered in England in the summer of 2008. It was created by an eclectic team of theatre artists, stylists, designers and classical musicians and features a high-caliber performing company of 4 vocalists, 5 dancers and 8 musicians. The show is anchored by a collection of well known arias sung by consummate vocalists. These pieces are presented outside their narrative context but inside a series of visual allegories that burst forth onto the stage like an exceptionally vivid dream. Highlights will include La Donna e Mobile, Toreador Song, The Flower Duet, O Sole Mio, Queen of the Night and more.
