11th Annual Santa Parade this Thursday at Hamilton Place Mall
Parade begins at 6:30 p.m. along the perimeter of the mall
CHATTANOOGA — To kick off the 2009 holiday season, Hamilton Place invites young and old alike to attend the 11th Annual Santa Arrival Parade this Thursday, November 5. This year’s lineup features more than 50 entries, including three marching bands from East Hamilton High School, Central High School and Howard School for Academics and Technology.
The parade begins promptly at 6:30 pm in the Sears’ parking lot and will circle the mall, ending near the Food Court entrance where children can escort Mr. & Mrs. Claus to their new home near the Comcast Community Stage for photo opportunities. Spectators are encouraged to arrive early to avoid the crowds.
Hamilton Place is also asking shoppers, including families visiting Santa, to participate in the Santa Feeds America food drive this holiday season and bring a non-perishable food donation to the Santa Set to receive a $2 discount on select photo packages. Shoppers are not required to visit Santa or have their photo taken in order to make their donation. The Chattanooga Area Food Bank will use all food and monetary donations to assist families in Hamilton County.
