The Northwest Georgia Trade & Convention Center has named Scott Sangster food and beverage manager. Sangster joins the trade center from Quinton Memorial Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Dalton.
“We are excited with our newest addition to the trade center staff. I am confident that Scott’s experience and management style will bring a much higher level of service and style to our clients," said Doug Phipps, interim executive director.
Sangster has been certified by the University of Georgia as a dietary manager and by Riches Culinary School in Atlanta. He has experience in managing a kitchen that ranges from preparing/cooking foods and controlling inventory to creating new recipes, and he is familiar with local and state health/food safety guidelines. He has skills in quantity food preparation in catering, bakery, restaurant and hospitality business operations.
His start date is Oct. 1.
The trade center has also promoted Matt Sired to event services manager. Sired has worked in event services as a coordinator for approximately four years.
Along with his new job responsibilities, Sired will be the point of contact for all major events taking place at the trade center. He will be the direct contact from the event services department to the executive director.
