Thursday morning, January 10, area Legislators will give an overview of the upcoming Georgia General Assembly for the Chamber's annual "Good Morning Dalton” breakfast. The breakfast will begin at 7:30 a.m. at the NorthWest Georgia Trade and Convention Center. The cost is $12.00 for Chamber members and $20.00 for non-members. Speakers will include Representatives Roger Williams, Tom Dickson and Ron Forster and Senator Don Thomas. Representative Ron Forster represents District 3 and he serves on the following committees: Appropriations, Insurance, Chairman of Interstate Cooperation, and Secretary of Public Utilities and Telecommunications. Representative Roger Williams represents District 4 and he serves on Appropriations, Industrial Relations and is Chairman of the Regulated Industries committee.
Representative Tom Dickson represents District 6 and serves on the following committees: Economic Development and Tourism, Education and is Secretary of Regulated Industries.
Senator Don Thomas serves the 54th District and serves on the following committees: Appropriations, Secretary of Education and Health and Youth, Ethics, Chairman of Health and Human Services, Rules, and Ex-Officio of Science and Technology.

An investigation into a chemical rupture that blew a pressure release disk through the roof at MFG Chemical and through a wall at a neighboring carpet mill on Monday morning is ongoing by the Office of Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
