DALTON —
The Dalton-Whitfield Chamber of Commerce will host a “Wake Up … Whitfield” breakfast on Tuesday at the Dalton Golf and Country Club. The event will be from 8 to 9 a.m.
The speaker will be Brad Eaton, partnership coordinator with the U.S. Department of Commerce. Eaton will present information on the 2010 Census and the impact it will have on local businesses, services and the community.

Julian Saul challenges young leaders to step up
Julian Saul, founder of Queen Carpets and retired president of Shaw Industries, was the featured speaker at United Way Young Leaders Society Lunch with Leaders on May 16 at the Outback Steakhouse. United Way’s Young Leaders Society was formed in 2006 to address an identified need to develop the next generation of community leaders, volunteers and philanthropists.
