Pavlu named GM of Hampton Inn-Dalton
Hotel Equities (HE) recently named Julie Pavlu the general manager for the Hampton Inn–Dalton. Pavlu oversees all financial and management operations at the 124-room hotel including hiring employees, implementing sales and marketing strategies, ensuring guest service and meeting budget goals.
“Julie brings an excellent background in hospitality to our hotel,” said Tamara Markham, director of operations for Hotel Equities. “She also has a depth of experience in the local market. The hotel will benefit from her leadership, management skills, and genuine concern for our guests.”
With more than 14 years of experience in the industry, Pavlu began hospitality career as a front desk associate and associate trainer at the Dalton Hampton Inn. Next, the Country Inn & Suites hired her as its guest service manager before promoting her to assistant manager and then to general manager in 2008. She won the 2008 Country Inn & Suites “Friends Hosting Friends” guest service award for the southeastern region.
“I enjoy all aspects of my position, especially working with the hotel’s guests and associates,” Pavlu said. “I have a real passion for guest service and I enjoy helping to develop the awesome team of associates here at the Hampton Inn-Dalton.”
Active in the local community, Pavlu is a member of the Dalton Whitfield Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Dalton Hospitality Association, a group that includes hotels, restaurants and related businesses in the area.
Pavlu holds an associate’s degree from Dalton State College and bachelor’s degree in organizational management from Covenant College in Lookout Mountain. She and her husband Charles live in Rocky Face. Her interests include traveling, photography, hiking, boating, swimming and spending time with family.
