Digital editon free during inclement weather

DALTON — To our readers:

If you have been unable to read The Daily Citizen because of the inclement winter weather, we have opened up our digital edition to anyone who wishes to use it. We will keep our digital edition free to anyone to use while the hazardous weather persists and until we are able to get back on our normal production and delivery schedule.

We hope you all enjoy using the digital edition.

‘The essence of the beloved community’

Fighting for civil rights in the 1950s and 1960s, John Lewis was repeatedly beaten, harassed and threatened by those opposed to equal rights for blacks. But he and his fellow activists followed the biblical injunction to turn the other cheek and met violence with love and forgiveness.
