Two in jail, one sought in Whitfield County robbery

Two people are in jail on charges related to a weekend armed robbery at a residence on Five Springs Road, Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office officials said.

Maj. John Gibson said Brittany Nicole Deal, 22, 301 Bogle St., Dalton, and Miller Helms Horton, 20, 1308 Dogwood Valley Road, Tunnel Hill, were charged with probation violation and conspiracy to commit a felony. A jail official said they were still in jail without bond as of Tuesday morning.

Other charges are pending, and authorities are seeking a third suspect, Thomas Brunelle, in the incident.

Officials said they will release more information this afternoon.
