Region title hopes vanish

Dalton running back Tre Beck breaks free from two Hiram defenders to score on a 45-yard run in the third quarter of the Region 7-4A championship game Friday at Harmon Field. The visiting fifth-ranked Hornets won the game, 17-14, on a fourth-quarter field goal, but the Catamounts will still host a Class 4A state playoff game next Friday.
