The mother bear that has been spotted in Chatsworth with her cubs recently hangs out in a tree at Sixth Avenue and Pine Street Monday evening. Her cubs were in nearby branches. Officials with the Department of Natural Resources sent word through the Chatsworth Police Department that as long as the bears are in a tree they can't do anything about removing them from the city because they could fall out of the tree and be injured. Officials advised residents who had gathered at the tree to watch the bears to maintain a safe distance and to keep trash inside. (Misty Watson/The Daily Citizen)
